Editorial Policy

Editorial Independence

The Indonesian Journal of Digital Islamic Studies (IJDIS) maintains full editorial independence in evaluating and selecting manuscripts. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit, originality, relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, methodological rigor, and contribution to Islamic studies scholarship. Editorial decisions are free from external influence, including institutional, financial, or political pressures.

Publication Principles

IJDIS is committed to publishing high-quality scholarly works that uphold academic integrity and ethical research standards. The journal accepts original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by other journals.

The journal prioritizes normative, conceptual, and interdisciplinary studies that examine the intersection between Islamic thought and digital transformation.

Editorial Responsibilities

The editorial board is responsible for:

  • Ensuring fairness and impartiality in manuscript evaluation
  • Maintaining confidentiality throughout the editorial process
  • Preventing conflicts of interest among editors, reviewers, and authors
  • Ensuring manuscripts meet academic and ethical standards
  • Making final publication decisions based on peer review recommendations

Editors evaluate submissions based on scholarly quality without discrimination regarding nationality, gender, religious affiliation, or institutional background.

Ethical Compliance

IJDIS follows international publication ethics guidelines and adheres to principles of transparency, academic honesty, and responsible scholarship. The journal applies plagiarism screening to all submitted manuscripts and rejects any submission containing unethical research practices, including data fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism.

Authorship Policy

Authorship is limited to individuals who have made significant academic contributions to the manuscript. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission. Any change in authorship after submission must be accompanied by written consent from all authors.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the research or publication process. When conflicts arise, alternative reviewers or editorial decisions will be assigned.

Open Access Policy

IJDIS provides open access to all published articles, supporting the global dissemination of knowledge without financial barriers. All published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide.
