Abstract

Quran and Hadith is a part of Islamic religious education, taught to understand and practice the Quran, enabling students to read fluently, translate, summarize its contents, copy and memorize selected verses, and understand and practice selected hadiths as a means of deepening and expanding the study of the Quran and Hadith in madrasas and as preparation for the next level of education. Quran and Hadith instruction in madrasas emphasizes a learning process oriented toward the basic skills a Muslim must possess regarding these two sources of teachings. These include the ability to read, write, memorize, interpret, understand, and practice the Quran and Hadith. To meet the learning targets for madrasa students, a teacher must prepare the learning approaches that will be used in delivering the material. The
three main factors for student success in understanding the Quran and Hadith subject are as follows: 1. Students have a high level of intelligence, 2. Students are motivated to learn, and 3. Students are interested in learning.
